Manages item documentation and catalog records from intake through auction close. Written output must be clear, factually accurate, and grammatically correct.

Compliance Specialist

About the Role

Manages all California DOJ DROS processing and ATF Form 4473 paperwork for the operation. Reviews and corrects coworker paperwork in strict accordance with state and federal law. This role owns the compliance standard. Accuracy is mandatory.

Applicants must be fully capable of independently processing DROS and 4473 paperwork without guidance. Those who cannot clearly demonstrate hands-on experience with both processes will not be considered.

Retail Sales Associate

About the Role

Orange, CA (Gunslinger Auctions) and Azusa, CA (Gunslingers Gun Shop).

Supports firearm transfers and DROS processing during active auction and retail periods. Guides customers through ATF Form 4473 and the California DOJ DROS process from start to finish. Assists with inventory handling, post-auction pickups, and showroom operations.

This is not a paid training role. You must arrive ready to process transfers independently. If you have experience in firearms retail and are looking for a more flexible schedule and a better employee discount than big-box retailers can offer, this role is worth your time.

Responsibilities

  • Guide customers through 4473 and DROS paperwork from start to finish
  • Process firearm transfers in full compliance with state and federal law
  • Maintain accurate acquisition and disposition records
  • Verify invoices and confirm customer eligibility
  • Assist with post-auction pickups and high-volume transfer periods
  • Support showroom and storage organization

Physical requirements: frequent lifting of 8 to 10 lbs, occasional lifting up to 30 lbs, standing and walking throughout the shift.

Videographer / Video Editor / Content Creator

About the Role

Gunslinger Auctions, Orange, CA.

An entry-level content creation role for an aspiring filmmaker or video editor looking to build a genuine body of work. You will film and edit original documentary-style content for YouTube – interviews with consignors, collectors, and staff; b-roll across intake, evaluation, and live auction activity; and short-form clips for social platforms. Content is observational and documentary in style – real firearms, real transactions, real history.

You must be self-directed and comfortable initiating filming without being told. You will supply your own camera and audio recording equipment. We do not provide production gear.

What You’ll Do

  • Film interviews with consignors, collectors, staff, and customers
  • Capture b-roll across intake, evaluation, cataloging, and live auctions
  • Recognize when something worth filming is happening and start recording
  • Edit footage into episodic YouTube content and short-form clips
  • Organize and deliver footage and project files professionally
