About the Role
Gunslinger Auctions, Orange, CA.
Researches and writes accurate descriptions for firearms, antiques, and collectibles prior to auction. Uses internet resources and our extensive in-house reference library. Manages item documentation and catalog records from intake through auction close. Subject matter includes antique and modern firearms, edged weapons, militaria, western collectibles, jewelry, and estate items.
Written output must be clear, factually accurate, and grammatically correct.
Schedule
This position is open to part-time or full-time arrangements — schedule and hours are flexible and negotiable based on your availability. We are outcome-focused: consistent, accurate work is what matters.
Reference hours: Tuesday and Friday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Saturday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Requirements
- Must be knowledgeable about firearms, antiques, and collectibles
- Exceptional writing skills are non-negotiable - clear, accurate, professional prose only
- Strong research skills using both online and print reference materials
- Ability to manage and organize documentation across a high volume of items
- Experience with auction catalog writing, appraisal writing, or similar work preferred
