Where is Gunslingers Gun Shop located?

We're at 1141 E Alosta Ave, Azusa, CA 91702, right in the San Gabriel Valley. Our auction side operates out of Orange, CA, and we hold live auctions at the Highway 39 Event Center in Anaheim.

What are your business hours?

Monday through Friday, 10 AM to 6 PM. Saturday, 10 AM to 5 PM. Closed Sundays.

Do I need an appointment or can I walk in?

Walk-ins are welcome; no appointment needed. We're open Monday through Saturday during regular business hours.

Do you do FFL transfers?

Yes. We handle FFL transfers at our Azusa location. Bring in the transfer paperwork and we’ll process it during business hours: Mon–Fri 10 AM–6 PM, Saturday 10 AM–5 PM. Call (626) 914-7010 or send us a message if you have questions before you come in.

How does buying a gun in California work?

California requires a DROS (Dealer Record of Sale) form for every firearm purchase. We submit it to the DOJ, run the background check, and collect the state fees at point of sale. There is a mandatory 10-day waiting period before you can take possession, with no exceptions. You'll need a valid California ID or driver's license. Handgun purchases also require a Firearm Safety Certificate (FSC). We walk you through every step.

Does Gunslingers Gun Shop buy used guns?

Yes. We buy, sell, and trade used firearms at the Azusa location. Walk-ins welcome during business hours. We also take consignments for live auction through Gunslinger Auctions in Orange, CA; this is useful when you want maximum market exposure rather than a quick floor price.

How does the consignment process work?

Two options: consign in-store and we sell it on the floor, or route it through Gunslinger Auctions in Orange for live and online bidding with nationwide reach. Jeff Taverner's team handles research, cataloging, photography, marketing, and shipping either way. We'll tell you which path is likely to net you more before you decide.

Do you do firearms appraisals?

Can I consign guns here for auction?

Yes. Drop off at our Azusa location and we coordinate the transfer to Gunslinger Auctions in Orange, CA. Call (626) 914-7010.

What payment methods do you accept?

Cash, credit card, and check, all in US dollars.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Gunslingers Gun Shop is a fully licensed Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) with over 25 years of continuous operation. Fully insured.

What areas do you serve?

The Azusa shop serves the San Gabriel Valley: Azusa, Glendora, Covina, West Covina, Duarte, Monrovia, Baldwin Park, and surrounding communities. On the auction side, Gunslinger Auctions ships nationwide and internationally.

Is the shop ADA accessible?

Yes. Our Azusa storefront is wheelchair accessible and ADA compliant.

What is the relationship between Gunslingers Gun Shop and Gunslinger Auctions?

Sister businesses under the Gunslinger brand, both owned and operated by Jeff Taverner.
