What We Offer

Gunslinger Auctions & Gunslinger’s Gun Shop have been dealing firearms since 1998 — through the shop floor in Azusa, through live auctions, and through our online platforms reaching bidders worldwide. What we carry isn’t a fixed catalog. It’s both meticulously sourced collections and whatever comes in: new production, used, antique, C&R, consigned estates, military surplus, edged weapons, jewelry, and collectibles. If it’s worth something and it’s legal to sell, it’s probably been through our hands.

Below is a breakdown of what we offer across both sides of the operation — retail at Gunslinger’s Gun Shop in Azusa, CA and auction through Gunslinger Auctions in Orange, CA.

Firearms

Rifles

Bolt-action, lever-action, semi-automatic, and single-shot — hunting rifles, military surplus, and collector-grade arms across every era. Our inventory spans everything from working-grade field rifles to matching-numbers military pieces that belong in a display case.

Shotguns

Pump, semi-auto, over/under, side-by-side, and single-barrel. Field guns, competition guns, and vintage American scatterguns. We see a lot of classic American and European doubles come through on consignment — worth checking the catalog before you assume we only carry modern production.

Pistols & Revolvers

Semi-automatic pistols and revolvers of all eras. Single-action, double-action, pocket pistols, duty guns, and competition-grade handguns. SASS single-action revolvers are a specialty — Jeff Taverner is a two-time SASS World Champion, and it shows in how we know and describe these guns.

Black Powder & Muzzleloaders

Percussion revolvers, muzzleloading rifles, and flintlock arms. These typically don’t require FFL transfer under federal law and can often ship directly to you. Check individual listings for classification details.

Antique & Curio & Relic (C&R)

Pre-1899 antiques and ATF-classified C&R firearms are a significant part of what flows through our auctions. If you hold a Type 03 C&R license, you’ll find plenty here worth watching. Our catalog flags C&R eligibility on every qualifying lot.

Military Surplus & Historical Arms

Military rifles, pistols, and edged weapons spanning WWI through Vietnam and beyond. Matching-numbers examples, bring-backs, and demilled display pieces all come through on a regular basis. This is one of the strongest categories in our auctions.

Magnum & Large-Caliber Firearms

Big-bore revolvers, magnum rifles, and specialty caliber firearms for hunting and collection. We get a steady flow of high-powered revolvers and lever-actions chambered in the heavy calibers — .44 Mag, .454 Casull, .500 S&W, .45-70, and others.

Sporting & Competition Guns

SASS/CAS rigs, target pistols, trap and skeet guns, and action shooting platforms. We know this market well — if you’re outfitting for a discipline, come in and talk to us before you buy.

Ammunition & Accessories

Current Production Ammunition

In-stock ammunition at the Azusa shop spanning handgun, rifle, and shotgun calibers. We maintain distributor relationships that keep the shelves stocked on common calibers. Call ahead if you’re looking for something specific before making the drive.

Vintage & Specialty Ammo

Collectible and vintage ammunition comes up regularly at auction — military surplus, obsolete calibers, and sealed vintage boxes. Check the current catalog for what’s available.

Reloading Supplies

Reloading components, presses, dies, and related equipment occasionally appear in estate lots at auction. If you’re a reloader, it’s worth keeping an eye on the catalog.

Firearm Accessories

Holsters, slings, cases, grips, stocks, and related accessories — both in-store at Azusa and through auction as part of estate lots. We don’t maintain a deep accessories retail inventory, but the auction side moves a lot of gear as package lots.

Collectibles & Militaria

Edged Weapons

Bayonets, fighting knives, swords, and daggers — military and civilian, domestic and foreign. A specialty maintained since 1998. If you’re building a collection or looking to sell, we know this market.

Military Surplus & Militaria

Helmets, uniforms, insignia, medals, field gear, and historical military artifacts from multiple nations and eras. These lots draw serious collector interest at auction and sell well. Estate militaria collections are always welcome on consignment.

Jewelry & Precious Metals

Jewelry, coins, and precious metal items come through regularly as part of estate consignments. These lots are cataloged, photographed, and auctioned to a broad collector audience.

Art & Collectibles

Artwork, Western Americana, and general collectibles are part of the auction mix. The inventory changes with every consignment — check the current catalog or sign up for auction notifications to stay current.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you carry new production firearms or only used and consigned?

Both. The Azusa shop carries new production inventory alongside used, consigned, and trade-in firearms. The auction side is primarily consigned inventory — used, antique, C&R, estate, and surplus. You’ll find the full spectrum across both platforms.

How do I know what’s currently in stock or up for auction?

For the shop, call (626) 914-7010 or stop in during business hours. For auction inventory, check the current catalog on HiBid or Proxibid. Inventory turns over with every auction — what’s there today may be gone tomorrow.

Do you carry off-roster handguns?

Off-roster handguns come up at auction regularly — these are cataloged as PPT (Private Party Transfer) or Out-of-State Only depending on the specific firearm. Active sworn law enforcement may be eligible to purchase off-roster handguns; contact us before the auction with any eligibility questions. The Azusa shop handles in-store PPT transfers for eligible buyers.

Can I special order a firearm you don’t have in stock?

Yes, through the Azusa shop. Call (626) 914-7010 or stop in to discuss what you’re looking for, availability, and lead times. Special orders are handled at the retail level — not through the auction.

What calibers of ammunition do you stock?

Common handgun, rifle, and shotgun calibers are stocked in-store at Azusa. The selection varies with availability — call ahead at (626) 914-7010 if you’re looking for something specific before making the drive. Vintage and specialty ammo comes up at auction periodically as part of estate lots.

Do you buy firearms outright or only take consignments?

Both. The Azusa shop buys outright — walk in with what you have and we’ll make you an offer based on fair market value. If you’d rather go the auction route for more competitive pricing, we take consignments at either location and handle everything from there.

What’s the difference between bringing something to the shop versus consigning to auction?

Selling to the shop is fast — you walk in, we make an offer, you leave with cash. Consigning to auction takes longer but typically gets you more money because you’re selling to a competitive bidding audience instead of one buyer. We’ll give you an honest read on which makes more sense for what you have.

Do you handle estate firearms collections?

Yes, and it’s one of the things we do best. Full estate liquidations — firearms, militaria, jewelry, collectibles, the works. We handle the entire process: intake, appraisal, cataloging, auction, and settlement. Contact us at (714) 939-1172 or [email protected] to discuss.

Do you do gunsmithing on firearms I didn’t buy from you?

Yes. Gunsmithing and armorer services at the Azusa shop are available on firearms regardless of where you bought them. Call ahead at (626) 914-7010 to discuss the work and get a turnaround estimate before dropping off.
